Warranty Statement

Oliver Refrigeration Warranty Statement
Limited Warranty Guidelines Statement

Unless otherwise stated, Oliver Refrigeration warrants to the original purchaser of new, qualified Oliver Refrigeration units (and all parts thereof), that such equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of One Year All Parts & Labor 5 Year On Compressor Part Only.

If a qualified product is found to be defective during this period, Oliver Refrigeration will repair the defective unit, replace any defective parts, or replace the unit entirely, subject to the following geographical limitations:

  • Within 150 miles of the store: Oliver Refrigeration will send a technician to repair the defective unit, replace any defective parts, or replace the unit.

  • Beyond 150 miles from the store: The customer may either:

    1. Deliver or ship the unit to the store for repair. The customer is responsible for all shipping or transportation costs related to delivering the unit to Oliver Refrigeration and receiving it back. The customer also assumes responsibility for any damages that occur during shipping. Oliver Refrigeration will package the unit for return to minimize the chance of damage; however, Oliver Refrigeration is not liable for any damage incurred during return shipping.

    2. Use a technician of their choice and request that replacement parts be shipped via standard ground shipping at no cost. The customer is responsible for all labor charges incurred by their technician. Prior to approval, Oliver Refrigeration’s technical support team must be contacted, and may require specific diagnostic tests or documentation to validate the warranty claim.

At any time during the warranty period, Oliver Refrigeration may request the customer to submit documentation related to the issue. This may include, but is not limited to: proof of purchase, maintenance records, photographs, or documentation from a licensed contractor (e.g., electrician or plumber). Any requested documentation must be provided before a warranty claim is processed. If documentation is submitted more than five (5) business days after the request and the warranty period expires within that timeframe, it is at Oliver Refrigeration’s sole discretion to honor the claim.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover:

Oliver Refrigeration does not provide warranty coverage for component failures or other damage resulting from the following:

  • Failure to install and/or operate the unit according to the specified conditions outlined by Oliver Refrigeration.

  • Plugging units into extension cords or surge protectors.

Improper or insufficient maintenance, including failure to perform basic preventative maintenance (e.g., cleaning the condenser coil).

  • Units sold or used outside the 48 contiguous United States.

  • Damage due to negligence, mishandling, overloading, or improper airflow caused by blocked vents.

  • Units stored or operated outdoors or in uncontrolled environments.

  • Damage caused by fire, lightning, flood, acts of God, abuse, misuse, or low voltage.

  • Loss of product, sales, profits, or any other consequential damages.

  • Normal wear-and-tear parts, including but not limited to light bulbs and gaskets.

All equipment must be connected directly to a standard wall outlet on a dedicated breaker of appropriate size. Sharing a breaker with other devices, or using extension cords, surge protectors, or generators, voids the warranty. Use in outdoor environments may also result in voided warranty coverage. Oliver Refrigeration reserves the right to request verification of adequate electrical supply by a licensed electrician before dispatching a technician. Improper or insufficient voltage will void the warranty.

Residential Customers:

Oliver Refrigeration assumes no liability for parts, labor, or replacement coverage in the event of component failure or damages resulting from non-commercial or residential installations.
IMPORTANT WARRANTY INFORMATION:
Condensers must be cleaned at least every 30 days to avoid compressor failure, product spoilage, and sales loss. Compressors carry a 5-year parts warranty.

Keeping the condenser clean will reduce service expenses and electrical costs. Condensers require scheduled cleaning every 30 days, or more often as needed.

Air continuously flows through the condenser, drawing in dust, lint, and grease. For proper airflow, a minimum 4-inch clearance must be maintained around the unit. This does not eliminate the need for routine cleaning.

A dirty condenser can lead to non-warrantied failures, including compressor damage, product spoilage, and lost sales. These are not covered under warranty.

Proper cleaning involves removing accumulated debris using a soft brush, shop vacuum, CO₂, nitrogen, or compressed air.

If you are unable to clean the condenser adequately, please contact your local refrigeration service provider. This cleaning is not covered by the warranty.

The condenser resembles a series of vertical fins. You should be able to see through the condenser for optimal performance. Do not place any filter material in front of the coil, as this restricts airflow similarly to having a dirty coil.

Ice machines must be cleaned by a certified ice machine technician every six (6) months, or more frequently depending on environmental conditions. Use nickel-safe cleaner for nickel-plated evaporators and stainless steel cleaner for stainless steel evaporators.
